Please help stock The Market for summer. Hundreds of families are relying on Bluffton Self Help to put food on the table and the shelves are running low on all of our most needed items.

We are asking our community to rally together to help stock The Market shelves for summer with 8,000 bags of groceries. Together, we can end hunger.

More than 850 families relied on The Market at Bluffton Self Help to put food on the table last year. As the cost of living continues to rise so does the need. Neighbors are turning to The Market for help 10% more than last year. The average household grocery bill has gone up $395 a month compared to last year. Paychecks are not stretching as far, and for many Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) emergency allotments are no longer filling the gap, leaving them with impossible choices.

The rising prices of groceries have affected our neighbors, our supporters, and our local businesses. Bluffton Self Help is also not immune to the rising costs of eggs, milk, and meat to provide our neighbors with the food they need. Worse yet, summer is right around the corner- a challenging time for The Market, the donations slow down, and with school out, the need soars.

Bluffton Self Help will be open Saturday, May 13th from 9am-1pm for a drive-thru donation drive. Donations are also accepted Monday-Friday 10am-4pm at The Market located at 39 Sheridan Park Circle #10 Bluffton, SC 29910.
