Rod Casavant joined the University of South Carolina-Beaufort’s Center for Strategic Planning as a facilitator. He is Chairman Emeritus of SCORE SC Lowcountry Chapter, where he led a team of over 40 certified business mentors, and had a 30+ year career with Eli Lilly & Company.
- Kimberly Gammon joined the Town of Hilton Head Island as its new Town Clerk. She was previously the Town Clerk for the Town of Bluffton.
- Tom Henz, the Vice President of Public Policy at the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, was appointed an Ex-Officio member of the Don Ryan Center for Innovation Board of Directors.
- Marcia Hunter was named the Town Clerk for the Town of Bluffton.
- Chris Katon joined The Seabrook as their new Director of Dining Services. He previously served as Director of Food & Beverage at The Cypress of Hilton Head, Director of Restaurants at The Sea Pines Resort, and Owner of Aqua Grille & Lounge.
- Ellen Malphrus, a Professor of English and Writer in Residence at the University of South Carolina-Beaufort, has won the Carolina Trustees Professorship Award, in recognition of her outstanding work as an educator, author, and scholar.
