• Beaufort County Veterans Affairs Director Caroline Fermin has been named one of University of South Carolina's Outstanding Veteran Alumni.

• The International Association of Chief of Police awarded Bluffton Police Department’s Lieutenant Michelle Mayers the 2024 40 Under 40 award.

• Annmarie Reiley-Kay is the new Deputy Director and Chief Operating Officer of the Coastal Discovery Museum. Most recently, she served as Director of the Virginia Beach History Museums.

• Josh Gruber has been named the City Manager of Hardeeville. He previously served for six years as a Deputy Town Administrator for Hilton Head Island.
   
• Will Hellmans has joined the Hilton Head Island offices of Burr & Forman, LLP.

• Tom Henz, Vice President of Public Policy and Small Business for the Hilton Head Island -Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, was named a board member to the Beaufort-Jasper Housing Trust.

• The Foundation for Educational Excellence has named Dr. Jacqueline Rosswurm was the 2024 “Peggy May Inspiration Award” recipient for her leadership and commitment to education, organizational development, and community in Beaufort County.

• Brian Sullivan has been named the new Executive Director of the Lowcountry Regional Transportation Authority, Palmetto Breeze and The Breeze Trolley. He previously served as the organization’s Director of Marketing & Communications. He takes the place of Mary Lou Franzoni, who served as Executive Director since 2014.

• Brian Warner was named the Economic Development Specialist for the BCEDC. He most recently served as Project Manager for Hampton County for Southern Carolina Regional Development Alliance

• The Town of Hilton Head Island welcomed Heather Woolwine as its new Communications Director. She most recently served in leadership roles at MUSC - Charleston.

• Matt Wuller and the Sea Pines Country Club were one of the USTA’s annual Outstanding Facility Awards program, which recognizes excellence in the construction and/or renovation of tennis facilities throughout the country.
